Take a Timeshare Trip to Capitals of the World

We’ve written a couple of articles recently about taking a timeshare vacation to our Nation’s Capital. There are many other capitals to visit, too, as the October issue of RedWeek’s newsletter points out.

1. Butterfly Capital of the World.Just 15 minutes from Pompano Beach, FL, is Coconut Creek, where its Butterfly World is the largest butterfly aviary on the planet, and the first of its kind in the Western Hemisphere. Over 80 different species of butterfly are showcased as 5,000 live butterflies flit and dart about several exhibit areas including The Paradise Adventure Aviary, the Tropical Rain Forest Aviary, and the Hanging Garden & Butterfly Emerging Area where cases with hanging pupa and emerging butterflies are on display.

Stay at the Wyndham Palm Aire in Pompano Beach, a luxury resort known for its spa. Timeshare rentals here start at just $125/night, and resales start at $450.

2. Shark’s Tooth Capital of the World.Sarasota, FL, is just 30 minutes from the five beaches of Venice, considered the best places in the entire world to dig for petrified shark’s teeth. Sharks have a lot of teeth – 7 rows of them, and each row consists of 40 teeth. Not only that, but the teeth shed as they’re used and are replaced so, for example, one shark can produce over 24,000 teeth during its lifetime. Due to the currents of the Gulf of Mexico, the Venice beaches happen to be where many of these teeth wash up.

Stay at the Sea Club V Resort in Sarasota with its private beach area, heated pool, and available watersports equipment. Timeshare rentals start at $150/night, and resales range from $1 to $23,000.

3. Waterfall Capital of the World. We head north of the border for this one. Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, on the shore of Lake Ontario, has an astounding 126 waterfalls. It’s blessed with an abundance of waterfalls because it sits right along the Niagara Escarpment. Every May the annual “City of Waterfalls” 3-day weekend holiday celebration is held at Webster’s Falls.

Stay at Carriage Hills Resort in Barrie, Ontario. Hamilton is an easy hour and a half drive for a fun day trip. Timeshare rentals start at $114/night, and resales start $500.
