Think Out of the Box – 4 Ideas for Your Spring Break Timeshare Vacation

published on March 18, 2013 by

You can go to Cancun, Aruba, or Florida’s Panama City, and have a rip-roaring fun Spring Break partying as you always have done. Or, this year you can choose someplace different for your timeshare vacation, and learn new ways of partying.

Here are four destinations you may not have thought about, but that could turn out to be your favorite Spring Break getaways.

1. Costa Rica.
March and April, the Spring Break months for Americans, is the perfect time to head to this fascinating Central American country. At the end of April Costa Rica gets ready for its rainy season, but before that the weather is fine for hiking through verdant rainforests, lounging along golden sands, and mingling with exotic animals. And because the off-season is fast approaching, you’ll have an easier time scoring deals on airfares now.

A bonus to vacationing in Costa Rica for Spring Break is the amazing National Orchid Show (see top photo) held every March in the country’s capital city, San Jose.

2. Lake Tahoe.
When you plan a spring ski vacation to Lake Tahoe you get much more than just world-class skiing. Here you can enjoy skiing at more ski resorts and different kind of terrain than any other ski destination in North America.

Getting an average of 500 inches of snow a season, the runs at popular ski spots such as Squaw Valley USA, and Heavenly Valley, can stay open well into May. The snow is great, the temperatures are warmer, and the crowds are less. Give it a try for this year’s Spring Break.

Lake Tahoe timeshare rentals are available in four different areas around the lake.

3. St. Lucia.
Here again the Spring Break months of March and April are good times to visit St. Lucia, well ahead of the Caribbean’s hurricane season. While the rest of the Spring Breakers are crowding Puerto Rico and Aruba you can soak up the beauty of this diminutive island.

You’ll find plenty to enjoy in the natural landscape of gorgeous palm-fringed beaches, miles of unspoiled rainforest and the majestic Piton Mountains. Where else can you “sail into a champagne sunset”?

It’s easy to find beautiful accommodations with timeshare rentals on St. Lucia.

4. New Orleans.
Mardi Gras may be over, but the party is just getting started in the Big Easy. Before the sticky summertime heat sets in, New Orleans takes to the streets to showcase some of the many aspects of Crescent City culture.

In April, on the heels of carnival season, the intoxicating aroma of New Orleans favorites (like crawfish and jambalaya) and grooves to Zydeco and brass-band tunes waft through the French Quarter during the French Quarter Festival (see photo right).
